This month, one week says a lot. Team Hope, our largest volunteer team of the year, treated 615 clinic patients, performed 138 surgeries, and installed smoke-free stoves and water filters for 126 families, across two regions of Guatemala at once. Inside that same week was Aldo, an ocular prosthetics specialist whose hand-painted work gave patients back more than their sight. Close behind, Team Honor reached 40 more families, and the women of HILARTE kept weaving opportunity out of thread.
Join us for An Evening in Paris on November 7 as we celebrate lives transformed and raise support for the work still ahead. Individual tickets are now available, and we would be honored to have you with us.
With gratitude, The IEP Team

Team Hope 2026
As our largest volunteer team of the year, Team Hope served two regions of Guatemala at once. One team, two regions, hundreds of lives touched in a single week.

Health Stories
Aldo’s Art of Restoring Confidence
During Team Hope 2026, ocular prosthetics specialist Aldo brought remarkable craftsmanship and compassion to patients in Retalhuleu, hand-painting each prosthesis to match its wearer perfectly. For a young girl who asked for blue eyes, and for patients rebuilding their confidence after losing an eye, his work was proof that healthcare can restore far more than sight.

Home Stories
One Team, Five Communities and 126 Families Impacted

A cleaner kitchen, safer cooking conditions, and access to clean water, felt every day for years to come.
