One Team, Five Communities and 126 Families Impacted
While Team Hope 2026 served across Guatemala, the Impacting Homes team focused on bringing practical, lasting improvements to families throughout Chimaltenango and Sololá.
Throughout the week, volunteers worked alongside 126 families, installing smoke-free stoves and water filters that will continue improving daily life long after the team returned home.
The team served families in:
• Cojol Juyu, Comalapa
• Paxixil, Pueblo Viejo
• Hierba Buena, San Andrés Itzapa
• San Andrés Semetabaj, Sololá
• Santa Clara La Laguna, Sololá
For many families, these installations represent more than new household equipment. Smoke-free stoves help reduce exposure to harmful indoor smoke, creating a healthier and safer environment for preparing meals. Water filters provide reliable access to clean drinking water, helping support the health and well-being of every member of the household.
These are simple, practical solutions, but their impact is felt every day. A cleaner kitchen, safer cooking conditions, and access to clean water create meaningful improvements that benefit families for years to come.
Behind every installation is a family, a story, and a partnership built on service and hope.
Thank you to every Team Hope 2026 volunteer, local team member, donor, and supporter who helped make this work possible. Together, you brought lasting change to 126 families across Guatemala, demonstrating the power of serving alongside communities to create meaningful impact.
