Team Legacy

Last week, Team Legacy traveled to the highlands of Chimaltenango, Guatemala — and they came back with more than memories.

In one week, this extraordinary group of volunteers installed 48 smoke-free stoves and water filters in family homes, and cared for 416 patients in our medical clinic.

48 families who now breathe cleaner air. 48 households with access to safe drinking water. 416 people who received medical attention they would otherwise never have had.

That is not a small thing. That is a life changed, multiplied by hundreds.

Each stove installed means a mother no longer spends her days gathering wood. It means a child is no longer breathing smoke inside their own home. It means a family has more time, better health, and a safer future. And each patient seen in our clinic received care from professionals who traveled thousands of miles simply because they believed everyone deserves access to health.

Team Legacy lived up to its name.
