Team Legacy 2027
May 15 - 22, 2027
Homes & Clinic

About the Experience:

In the heart of Guatemala’s highlands, where traditions meet resilience, Team Legacy creates a ripple effect of hope. Working in Chimaltenango, you’ll install stoves, provide clean water filters, and support our medical clinic.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and install stoves and water filters.

  • Support community health initiatives.

  • Form meaningful relationships with local families while working together.

The Impact We Leave Behind:

Each stove installed reduces respiratory illnesses and increases life expectancy. Local clinics gain much-needed resources, and the personal connections built with families ensure a lasting legacy of improved health and opportunity.

Daily Itinerary Overview:

Mornings begin with community stove installation projects or clinic shifts. Engage deeply with families by sharing stories and creating memories. Evenings feature team reflections, gratitude-sharing circles, and fun social events.

The Story:

Team Legacy comes together each spring for a week of service, personal growth, and friendship; with awesome and wonderous moments. We meet amazing families!  Stoves and water filters have been delivered to their homes.  We provide the labor to install them, with them and all about them. They will change their lives. We in turn are exposed to a lifestyle very different from ours yet we are quick to learn that we share many common values; there is laughter and comradery, family unity, perhaps some family stress but bonding that is immeasurable.

Our teams are composed of a mix of backgrounds, ages, and experiences. Each day we work in different small groups and have the chance to get to know each member of the whole team.   For four days we worked hard installing stoves and water filters.  In the evening there is time to relax and enjoy a good meal.   Our accommodations are very comfortable.  One day will be spent at one of our communities on Lake Atitlán. Before returning home we will be spending time at our adopted school and we will travel to Antigua, Guatemala’s treasured 17th-century city for two nights before returning to the US

Join us this spring for an unforgettable week!  Whether it is a game of hide-and-seek with the children, the delight on a young mother's face setting up her water filter, the breathtaking beauty of Guatemala and the Guatemalans, or laughing until you cry with a teammate, your experiences are likely to make you return a changed person, and likely to come back as often as you can!

We look forward to having you join us!
