About the Experience:

Join Team Excellence in Guatemala, land of volcanoes and vibrant markets. This team serves with drive and love. You’ll install stoves and water filters in Chimaltenango and Santa Catarina Palopó, creating healthier living environments. Families will open their homes and hearts to you, so you can share a moment you will treasure forever, leaving not only an impact behind but life-long memories.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install stoves and water filters in homes.

  • Work alongside local leaders to improve living conditions.

  • Develop meaningful connections through shared service experiences.

The Impact We Leave Behind:

Our team leaves behind stronger communities through improved health, reduced respiratory issues, and safer homes. Local leaders gain tools and knowledge for future improvements, creating a foundation for long-term community development.

Daily Itinerary Overview:

Service projects in the morning focus on stove installation and community development. Volunteers work side by side with local families, sharing stories and building trust. Evenings are dedicated to team-building games, gratitude-sharing circles, and profound connections.

The Story:

The first week of June, Team Excellence departs to Guatemala. It’s a time of building friendships, creating memories, and making a real impact in the lives of others. Throughout the week, we meet incredible families who welcome us into their homes. We install stoves and water filters, and in doing so, we help improve their lives in ways that will last. But it's not just about the work we do—it’s about the relationships we build, the laughter we share, and the bonds that form despite the differences in our backgrounds.

We work in small groups each day, which allows us to connect with one another and learn from each other. The work itself is fulfilling but it’s the connection with the people we’re helping that makes it truly special. Evenings are filled with good food, relaxation, karaoke, charades and other fun bonding experiences. Our days are full, but our nights are even more full!

Come be part of something truly transformative. Whether it’s dancing our “poporopo dance” with children, witnessing a young mother’s joy as she sets up her water filter, soaking in the breathtaking landscapes of Guatemala, or sharing unforgettable moments with your teammates, your time here will leave you inspired—and likely, wanting to return again and again.
