Team Thankful
A group of dedicated volunteers recently traveled to Guatemala as part of Team Thankful, coming together with a shared commitment to serve and make a meaningful impact.
Working across Chimaltenango, Retalhuleu, and Santa Catarina Palopó, the team supported both healthcare and community infrastructure efforts.
In clinics, 222 patients were seen across pediatrics, gynecology, and general medicine—providing essential care to individuals who often face significant barriers to access. In surgical settings, 98 patients received care through 107 life-changing procedures, restoring health and improving quality of life.
At the same time, volunteers worked alongside families to install 52 smoke-free stoves and water filters, helping create safer and healthier living environments.
Team Thankful reflects what is possible when people come together with purpose. Through partnership and collaboration, this team left a lasting impact on the communities they served.
