Entrepreneurship Showcase

On March 6, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the “Entrepreneurship Showcase” was held at Terra Alta Restaurant, organized by the Dar Amor Association.

Representing Esperanza Center IEP, six students were invited to participate in this event. Each had the opportunity to showcase and sell their products, preparing with enthusiasm by creating business cards and developing their own brand identities.

Their participation was not only a chance to present their work, but also to put into practice the skills they have gained throughout their training. Each student demonstrated creativity, initiative, and confidence, engaging with the public and proudly sharing their entrepreneurial journey.

Technology Opening Doors to the Futur

Today we would like to share news that fills our hearts with gratitude. We received a donation of tablets that will be a great support for our high school. This contribution comes at a key moment, as our students work daily with the EduFuturo platform, strengthening their learning through digital tools.

For many of our students, having access to a device within the educational space represents a valuable opportunity. The tablets will make it easier for them to access their classes, assignments, interactive resources, and online assessments, allowing them to move forward with greater independence and confidence. They will also help reduce technological barriers so that every student can actively participate in their learning process.

This donation is not only material support, but also a clear message of trust in our students’ potential. Each tablet delivered opens a door to knowledge, new skills, and better opportunities for their future. We are deeply grateful for this generous gesture that will positively impact the academic life of our educational community.

In this hands-on class, students learn how to design and assemble gift arrangements using flowers, balloons, and edible delights. The course focuses not only on creativity and presentation, but also on developing products that can generate income during key seasons such as Valentine’s Day and other celebrations.

Building Dreams with Heart and Hope

In a home filled with love and hope, Julissa (17) and Juan Carlos (19) have learned that dreams are built with discipline, effort, and heart.

Both are part of IEP’s Class of 2025 and will graduate from high school in just one month. They live with their parents and three siblings, including little Fátima, a third grader at Colegio del Futuro-IEP who looks up to their perseverance.

At the Esperanza Center, Julissa and Juan Carlos discovered a passion for Guatemalan cuisine through the Chapina Gastronomy course. Twice a week, they rise early to attend classes, knowing that every recipe brings them closer to their goals, while in the afternoons they continue excelling in school.

Julissa hopes to study Gastronomy at the university level and share the flavors of her homeland with the world, while Juan Carlos dreams of becoming an agronomic engineer, raising cattle, and contributing to Guatemala’s agricultural development. With faith, family, and determination, they believe their future is filled with opportunities—and their journey is already inspiring their siblings, community, and the next generation.

Celebrating Our Third High School Graduation

Our Class of 2026

We also had the joy of celebrating the third graduating class of IEP Colegio del Futuro. This year, 7 students walked across the stage and turned their dreams into reality.

For many of them, this milestone will open the door to new opportunities—higher education, vocational training, and meaningful work. And for some, they are the first generation in their families to graduate from high school, a moment that transforms not only their futures but the futures of the families and communities around them.

This achievement is made possible thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, partners, and friends. Your generosity fuels these successes, and we are deeply grateful for the hope you help create each day.
